In Darpana's words
As a therapist, I believe human distress does not exist in a vacuum, and therapy can be a radical act of self-care and resistance. In a fast-paced world that conditions us to measure personal worth through relentless output, our sessions offer a compassionate space where you don’t need to perform, optimize, or prove your value.
Grounded in a Client-Centered philosophy, I view you as the expert on your own life. My practice is explicitly queer-affirmative and culturally sensitive, using multicultural and feminist lenses to help you deconstruct how societal norms, gendered expectations, and systemic pressures impact your well-being. Together, we reclaim rest, healthy boundaries, and emotional processing as fundamental human rights rather than earned luxuries.
Over the 1.5 years of practise, I have integrated Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to map thought-behavior cycles with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help navigate difficult emotions while taking meaningful steps aligned with your core values. I specialize in helping individuals manage work-life stress, workplace burnout, and career or academic anxiety, untangling personal value from external achievement to foster genuine self-worth. Additionally, I hold empathetic space for the emotional complexity and grief surrounding infertility and reproductive health, guide clients through body image concerns toward body neutrality, and support individuals in navigating complex relationship dynamics, intimacy, anxiety concerns and panic attacks and communication boundaries across diverse relational structures.
I deeply believe that movement and cooking are therapeutic practices that keep us connected to ourselves. You can often find me working out, dancing western styles, or experimenting in the kitchen with healthy cooking—whether that’s whipping up ragi chocolate pancakes, flavorful noodles, or nourishing non-vegetarian dishes. Through both my clinical work and personal life, I am dedicated to helping you externalize self-blame, build a compassionate relationship with your mind and body, and cultivate a life rich in balance and authentic self-expression.
