Mehak Bawa

I hold a Masters in Clinical Psychology and possesses three years of work experience.  I am a queer-affirmative psychologist and hold a trauma-informed narrative lens that positions people as the experts in their own lives, and holds paramount the insights they have acquired through their lived experiences. 

I have been working extensively with children, young people and families over the last two and a half years. In this process, I have been grateful to have been able to provide support for various concerns such as stress, anxiety, trauma, interpersonal relations and challenges unique to those who are neurodivergent. I have also hosted workshops for young people on the storms of their lives and the trees that have helped keep them anchored.

I value the sense of identity each person carries to the therapy space and aim to promote their agency and well-being through centering their stories. 

Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading, writing, and catching up on movies and TV shows.
