I am a counselling psychologist practising for the past 3 years. I have worked with community set-ups, tele-mental health, in-person and online with individuals belonging to various socio-economic strata.
My area of expertise is developmental and relational trauma, and my practice orients towards the IFS model of therapy, integrating somatic and metaphor-based practices. I address complex childhood and relationship trauma, grief, relationship issues, self-image concerns,, abuse, anxiety and depression.
We do not exist in a vacuum; systems around us constantly influence our choices. In my sessions, I like to take up a systemic approach, blending social dynamics and systemic issues to make a deeper sense of the issues being faced.
I like to view my work as more than just system management, but aiming towards trauma integration using the body and the mind.
In the therapy space, I like to view myself more as a human connecting with another human. My passion to help stems from a place of genuine curiosity about a person's life, their lived experiences and their narrative. I find people immensely unique, and I consider it my privilege to be able to explore their inner world.
Outside of therapy I spend my time crocheting, reading fiction, going on nature walks and baking.
