About Me
I approach individuals with curiosity, without taking away their agency.
My practice is eclectic, drawing from different approaches based on the needs of each individual I work with.
Some of the core frameworks I integrate include person centred, arts-based and somatic approaches.
I focus on the present moment to explore thoughts, feelings and experiences while acknowledging how complex and intersectional our identities are. I also try to invite art, movement or the body into the process to support expression, regulation and a deeper sense of safety.
I try to bring following lens when I am building my care.
- Trauma-informed: Trauma impacts an individual on multiple levels, including how they see themselves and the world, how they relate to others and how they regulate. It is intricately woven into a person’s way of being. Understanding these experiences allows me to offer care and support that honours their story without pathologizing their pain.
- Neurodivergent-affirmative: Neurodivergence is deeply diverse, and a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy can feel unfair and invalidating. Each person brings their own strengths, challenges and needs. My approach centers on meeting them where they are, rather than asking them to conform to a neurotypical norm.
- Queer-affirmative: Queer identities are not a debate but lived experiences in a world built on heteronormativity, cisnormativity, and amatonormativity. These systems often create external and internal struggles that must be acknowledged in the healing process.
Alongside this, I hold space for queer and trans joy, resilience, and community as essential to living authentically.
